Will regular DS Lite games work in a DSi?

I have been saving money to buy a DSi but then I realized that if all the games I do not work in the DSi? Will they work?

All games work on a DS DSi except for those that require the GBA slot for something. For example, the Guitar Hero series has a button collar pack that plugs into the GBA slot. Since this box pack button is necessary to play the Guitar Hero games, they will not work with the DSi. - LJS
