How do you get a pokemon Diamond/pearl nds rom to work?

As soon as i choose my pokemon and defeat the other pokemon it stops working

You might have a ROM that isn't good at all.I reguest that you delete your current Diamond/Pearl rom and search for a new one,make sure that the new one has possitive feed backs.I'm also reguesting that you instead search for Platinum,becuase there's a few out there..most are bad..with sound defects and/or stop working after a while..but if you find a working one,it would be worth it..^^
