if a game does not work well on pc Windows Vista, would it run better if I used Linux instead?

I play World of Warcraft on my Sony VIAO NR330FE using Windows Vista, and I want to know if I would get any kind of increase gaming performance if I switched the OS to a Linux OS, as Fedora or Ubuntu.
